Access from Haneda Airport

  1. Board a flight from Haneda Airport to Oita Airport, it takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
  2. From Oita Airport to Imi Port in Kunisaki City, travel by car, rental car, or bus. By car/rental car, it takes about 50 minutes.
  3. By bus、take the bus bound for Kunisaki and travel to Kunisaki Bus Terminal. It takes about 30 minutes. Transfer to a bus bound for Imi and travel to Imi Port in Kunisaki City,it takes about 40 minutes.

  1. Take the Shinkansen bound for Hakata and travel to Kokura. From Tokyo, it takes about 4 hours and 45 minutes. From Osaka, it takes about 2 hours and 10 minutes.
  2. Change trains at Kokura and take the Sonic Express bound for Oita and travel to Usa station. It takes about 50 minutes.
  3. From Usa Station to Imi Port in Kunisaki City, travel by car, rental car, or bus. By car/rental car, it takes about １ hour. By bus, take the Oita Kotsu bus bound for Imi. It takes about 1 hour.

Access from Oita direction

  1. Take the Higashi Kyushu Expressway towards Kitakyushu.
  2. From the Hayami Interchange, take the Hiji Bypass and enter the Oita Airport Road. Continue until you reach the Oita Airport Road exit. It takes about 30 minutes.
  3. From the Oita Airport Road Exit, take Route 213 to Imi Port in Kunisaki City. It  takes about 1 hour.
  4. Take the Himeshima Ferry from Imi Port in Kunisaki City to Himeshima Port, it takes about 20 minutes.

Access from Fukuoka direction

  1. Take the Kyushu Expressway towards Kitakyushu.
  2. From the Kokurahigashi Interchange, enter the Higashi Kyushu Expressway. Continue until you reach the Usa Interchange. It takes about 55 minutes.
  3. From the Usa Interchange, take Route 10 and enter Route 213, continue until you reach the Imi Port in Kunisaki City. It takes about 1 hour.
  4. Take the Himeshima Ferry from Imi Port in Kunisaki City to Himeshima Port, it takes about 20 minutes.
